Fast-growing removals and storage firm Alexanders Group has announced it is a Partner member of prestigious industry body the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID).
The firm counts embassies, museums and owners of other high-end properties among its clients, as well as organisations as diverse as German airline Lufthansa and the Salvation Army. The furniture, art and similar items it handles must be packed to export standard and require extreme care.
“We manage commercial moves for some of the most famous names in fashion and interior design,”
commented the firm’s New Business Director, Tony Vullo.
“We’re delighted to now be Industry Partners for BIID, and look forward to being part of an established and highly respected professional body. We’re excited about engaging and networking with all its members in the months ahead.”
For its part, a spokesman for BIID explained:
“Membership is selective and only granted to those companies demonstrating the highest level of products and services relevant to our industry.
“This highly competent, committed membership drives our position as the pre-eminent representative of the UK interior design profession.”
BIID aims to encourage and support creativity and competence in the field of interior design by facilitating best practice, practical professional support, education and development opportunities. Established in 1965, it is the oldest professional body in the UK solely representing interior designers, and was granted Institute status in 2009.
Membership means the Alexanders Group can use the BIID Industry Partner logo on all its marketing materials, and it will be profiled on the organisation’s website in the Find a Supplier page. There is also the chance to network with other suppliers as well as designers.
Alexanders is also a member of the British Association of Removers, and runs both self-storage and container storage warehouses in north-west London. Last year it enjoyed two wins at the West London Business Awards 2017 and has beenshortlisted for five awards again in 2019 including Logistics Business of the Year and High Growth SME of the Year.
Other accolades include the annual ACE Certificate of Excellence from The National Guild of Removers and Storers, and accreditation with British Standard BS 8522 : Commercial Moving Services.
